Winter In Whateverpeg

Good Day eh!

I'm too cold, tired, and lazy to describe how mindnumbingly tedious Winter can be here in the Colonies.

That being said, it occurred to me that NASA could recruit anyone from my neighbourhood to be an Astronaut.

We all know how to endure months of isolation, cold, and darkness.

You either learn how to make yer own fun, or risk spiralling into a "blahcoma"...

just don't hide your blahcoma medication after you've taken it..
not cool.

You can try cross-country skiing..

skidoodling...

trapping...

bear sledding...
or why not build a snow fort?

pretty cool eh?

The worst kept secret to surviving a Canadian Winter, is that most of us bugger off to MEXICO!

The best part of a Canadian winter is having a Cuban cigar and a Jamaican rum on a Mexican vacation!

  1. How nice to be kept abreast of seasonal customs.

  2. Bless you sir! We're fast accumulating about a foot of snow out here in the wet coast today, so I shall print and post these activities on my fridge to help me cope. I'm a bit unsure of the Reggae Mormonism, but if that's what it takes...

  3. Happy Holidays!!
Maybe you could teach us Brits a thing or two about dealing with the cold.

  4. Our snow all froze and blew away. Meanwhile you've taken a typically Canadian path in dealing with cold weather and fucked off to another clime. This, sir, is called denial. And if you were really serious about staying warm thats where you'd be right now, sipping a cocktail on deboat and watching depyramids slip past.

god help me I am so sorry.

  7. Are you in Mexico now? If so, hope you're having a fabulous time!

Have you ever stayed at that Ice Castle (or whatever it's called) Hotel in Quebec City? Apparently that place is a lot like your snow fort!

Birthday greeting over at my place for you but you're probably too tied up in your hammock to read this.

  10. There are only two sane ways to deal with Winter: hibernation or migration.
