FRIENDSHIP TRUISMS You can pick your friends You can pick your nose But you can't pick your friend's nose Just their brains! Do you have any other words of wisdom regarding the subject? Here are some morefriendship quotes
I have pretty strong feelings bout friendship - post on it periodically in fact. But I am myself a pretty loyal friend, so I don't look for more than I am willing to give.
menchie, Ha! This coming from someone who wrote about re-swallowing vomit?! Ha!
gautami, My dear, sweet, gautami. When are you going to cut me some slack? This blog is experimental and I am willing to go (almost) anywhere that it leads me...even to the point of being ridiculously insipid. People get tired of me rehashing my misanthropic lectures (and deservedly so) so sometimes it is fun to just goof off.
I'm not out to change the world, I'm here to change me.
whitesnake, ..and JFK asked a lot of people, especially voluptuous starlets, to do a lot of things to him.
citizen mondo, I am certain that Life would be a lot easier if someone had you in their corner. You understand Human Behavior..well as much as it can be understood..and when you look at the evidence we are remarkably simple beings who manage to completely screw things up with bad choices.
d-sinner!!! Well most of us pick friends who supply the answers that we demand..the real test comes when when you get a REAL friend who actually tells you the truth YIKES!
gautami, Really? Detention is over? I learned my lesson, honest I did, and it won't ever, ever, ever, happen again.

laura, You are absolutely right, totally immature, I apologise, and I'll take care of that right away. Gawd I'm such an idiot! There how's that?
THE michael, Yes I was just there, what a sweetie. This LIFE thing really needs some serious tweaking.
stace, Sorry about that, I thought that they were so cute.. did you get all the emoticons? They're FREE!
first nations, Tru dat! Nothing says I Love You like handing over the jar of Penicillin that you got from some guy back in 1974 or your Mom's prototype (for promotional purposes only) Prozac pills from 1963. MMM Goood!
Homey..normally it would go, you can pick your friends, you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your relatives..now you have me stumped ..damn you to hell.
Long lasting friendships are very hard to come by. I have two of them which I cherish. When I meet up with old friends from yonder years (I just made that up)heh that I haven't seen in ages I get a little shy and don't know what to say. I look down, and kick my foot at a rock, grin and say..how are your folks doing? Sorry your Gramdpa died..and then go about my bidness. I'm not good at shit like that.
Can't wait for spring. Winter in the "peg" is making me crazy.
That picture indicates that this is a serious post. I therefore humbly suggest a quote from The Prophet by Khalil Gibran:
"And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed."

ReplyDeleteIn the cybernautic cycle of life, duh, you've got yet another goofy avatar and a blogger who...well, you read it.
I will humbly take my seat in the bleachers and clap appropriately or, failing that, watch Family Guy.
WW has the clap?
ReplyDeleteHe outta get a shot.
No one said anything about pussy and bed -why is that?
ReplyDeleteThat picture is too cute!
ReplyDeleteThe caption, however...

Oh well, bloggers can't be picky I guess.
A friend in need is a friend indeed!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of friends, let's send lots of love and stuffed bears to Kindness, whom I have considered a friend since I first saw her cute blog.

ReplyDeleteA true friend is one who doesn't innundate you with emails about friendship which have a distinct mass-produced and non-personal vibe to them.
ReplyDeletefriends will help do the boring stuff.
ReplyDeletefriends will pass on unused antibiotics in midwinter.
friends will take pictures of you barfing in the parking lot, but they will not post them on the internet.
THE michael,
ReplyDeleteYes I was just there, what a sweetie. This LIFE thing really needs some serious tweaking.

Some friendships have an expiration date.
ReplyDelete-ain't that the truth?
jocelyn,
ReplyDeleteHola. Unfortunately this seems to be true. Whether from internal or external forces, people can go in different directions.
I love the old friendships that I have that allow me to pick up exactly where we left off without analyzing all of the superficial.
Those are magical.
I still have friends from preschool!
ReplyDeleteOne of them is coming to visit me next month from across the country.
As the Girl Scouts sing...
Make new friends,
but keep the old.
One is silver,
the other is gold.
Homey..normally it would go, you can pick your friends, you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your relatives..now you have me stumped ..damn you to hell.

JOAN!!
Out of all those uppity Whateverpeg-Bloggers that I reached out to, you were the only one kind enough to come-a-callin'.
Thank You.
It would certainly make Life easier in general if we could pick our relatives but it wouldn't be as easy to feel good about ourselves?
February here was AWFUL! I am going to let my Van idle 24/7 so that we can have a huge hole on the Ozone right above my house. I've had it!
keshi,
Ooh la la.
"Don’t blame it on the sunshine
Don’t blame it on the moonlight
Don’t blame it on the good times
Blame it on the BOOGIE!"
