Paused Error Tea

For the first time since February 2006, I went for One Entire Month Without Blogging!

Next I'll archive 52 postings for each year and toss the rest upon the bonfire of my vanity.

Over the years I managed to siphon most of my fanciful notions into my posts and purposefully created my own cosmological handbook.

Now that my Coppensian comprehensive is complete I feel compelled to free up some extra space on the Interwebs for future generations to squander.

It was a great way to find me.

  1. Well welcome back Kotter!

    Welcome back,
Your dreams were your ticket out.
    Welcome back,
To that same old place that you laughed about.

Visit me if you dare... I've nominated you for an award. (Something I've never done before, but this one is fun)

Glad you are back, FB is ok but for a good down and dirty(in depth) rant, blogs are hard to beat.

  2. Ah well. All good things must end. I'm zooming up on my 5th anniversary and have totally clogged the interwebs with my blog, but pulled down blog 2. We must all make sacrifices! :) See you on FB.

  4. So, I shut down the Chronicles and EVERYBODY heads over the cliff? We are BLOGGERS, dammit, not LEMMINGS! (You can still experience THE Michael at Full Moon Over Pendragon Hold, now leaner and meaner with less calories and it STILL tastes.....ah....palatible.......

FB as a serious journal just doesn't cut it for me......

  5. well. at least you will have 52 things to cling too. Many have celeb blogs, look at how sad that will be in a year, thinking that is their memoire. ;)

so. are you back? or is this it?

  6. I always enjoy your posts, you have a great perspective on things whether you spend a boatload of time researching or toss something together (like mine, when I was posting) - please don't go Donn!!

  7. Is this the part where you put on the Nikes and wait for the Mothership? Cause I gotta tell you, I almost offed myself after seeing that Tiger Woods ad, too, so don't do it, man! It's a lie, man! Don't drink the Kool-Aid!

But the brown acid wasn't all that bad, really.

  8. Or you could put everything in a handy book... with pages and printed words....?

  9. why would one/anyone/you want to go for a month without blogging?

(and does writing comments at your friends not count as "blogging" then?!)

  10. Hello. I am going numb and cannot think. Aarrgh. I'm doing another university subject at home soon, hopefully that will wake me up again and then I will blog more and think or something. :)

    You found something?

  12. My fellow cyber-sojourners...thank you for the kind words.

I deserve more contemptuous derision and unbridled umbrage for being such a wanker. I'm trying to wear my bigboy hat and really just trying to say that Blogging was a brilliant meander along the shoreline of my psyche.

I'll never forget any of the beachcombers that I've met along the way. Right now I feel as though I've unloaded most of my baggage and I just want to sit and stare at the waves..which is my metaphor for participating in social media on Facebook...which is more like chatting with passersby than sitting down digging in the sand with Bloggers.

Anyway I'm uberstoked because so many of you are on the Beach too.

    I'm kickin' back a bit..
    Aloha

  13. Might I suggest saving everything you've posted? That way, you can look back and read over your works. And sometimes, even the works you don't think are all that spectacular can inspire you to do something different, take another direction, or re examine your original reasonings.

Whatever you do, have fun and enjoy. Blogging shouldn't be a chore. It should be a choice. Whatever choice you decide to make, I'm happy for you! You're an awesome writer, funny and insightful, and a unique, philosophical voice that questions and examines the human condition. The internet is much more interesting with all that you've shared and will continue to share. Take Care, Donn!

  16. 52 per year? That's it??? But you blogged just about every day! I don't think you should have a pre-determined number in mind. Just go through them and remove whatever you want to remove. Why limit yourself to 52? Some years may have less and some more than you'll want to keep. Why must it be about quantity rather than quality?

  27. thought I would come here to comment on you comment... we aren't all identical.. there are two types - the blonde slinky ones and the brunette not so slinky ones.... oh and I forgot due to the genetic influence of the irish that were pillaged we have some ginger sorts. As for moving us all to California... nah... maybe the blondes, it would be hazardous for the gingers and us bulky brunettes prefer colder climes. And as for the nuking idea - does have some merit, however, wait till the last minute please - you know the stage where we are all dying anyway from sulphor dioxide poisoning and we have not hope of getting in the long boats to head for the faroes (they still like us) or Greenland (they tolerate us). Apart from that will now follow your blog of 52 posts per year with baited breath (fish bait ofcourse!)

  28. I, for one, am sorry to see you go. I hope you change your mind. I would have responded sooner, but it took me this long to figure out what "paused error tea" meant! I'm probably too dumb to be reading your posts, anyway ;)

  30. Okay by me, whatever you chose to do in the e-world my friend. For all its shortcomings, many a human has combined ideas with another by blogging- and that can't be so bad. See you in the Book.
