>Percentage and number of poor children in America:
18.9 percent (13.5 million)

So the Dog & Pony Show represented in Movies, TV, and Advertisements with those laughing-freckled-faced-clean-kids running through cornfields or past white picket fences while flags flutter in the wind are 'lacking in frankness, candor, or sincerity; falsely or hypocritically ingenuous'.

Remember Whitney (Pre Bobby Brown) Houston's song
The Greatest Love?
"I believe the children are our are future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be "..
