Awwww so cute!!!! Man, I'm such a girl. Haha! I miss my doggie. And my kittie. Doggie Ebony was put down recently, and kittie Zeus was run over by a car a few years ago. I want more pets. I need to find a nice friendly landlord who will let me have a menagerie in a rental property!!
As for what I do when I get overwhelmed or want to relax... I generally find a song which expresses the mood I want, then play it a few times until it's influenced me sufficiently. For a quick burst of womanly confidence, it has to be Aretha Franklin. For a bit of "fuck the world, I'm cool, whatever", it's maybe Manson or a similar pissed off rocker. For a song I can sink deep into and forget my physical existance, it has to be a musical - sometimes Phantom of the Opera, or Les Miserables. And when I need a giggle... "The Cheeseburger Song" from Veggietales.
Okay, I have melted into a puddle on the floor.....oh so cute!!
I listen to music, read or play around on You Tube to chill out. I've even been known to hunt out books from my childhood like Enid Blytons 'Magic Faraway Tree' series and read them cover to cover with some chocolate and a coffee....bliss! xxxxx
My first pet cat was called Scampi and when he was little he looked very much like one of those above. It was only much later that I believed my parents about it being seafood too. Before that, I'd thought they were just being mean about his name.
There's a lesson in there about faith, hope and charity. It's Christmas!
I don't think I've been relaxed since about 1977. Back then it was jumping in the river, climbing trees, sliding down the hill on cardboard, picking mandarins and sitting under the tree and eating 6 or 7 mandarins in one go, then jumping in the river again.
Walk the dogs and play fetch..they are great psychiatrists
For some reason John Denver is doing a mighty fine job lately too, Take me home country roads, Rocky Mountain High, Sweet Surrender and Annies Song. Does it good.
Have sex. Preferably with someone. The husband, of course. But I did dream I kissed Heath Ledger.

ReplyDeleteDon, I want to thank you for defending our manhood and including a genuine set of puppies, the kind we real men love to pet......hehe.
ReplyDeleteI don't see a picture of my puppies and bunnies! Discrimination!
ReplyDeleteHere in the US I just use my Taurus to pick off a few drug dealers in the street, then watch some TV.
ReplyDeleteLike Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, I like to frolic in the midst of a great meadow of poppies until I fall asleep.
ReplyDeleteThis post was just an excuse to show us the picture on the bottom at the left.
ReplyDeleteAnd why not?
I go to a favourite poster site and browse the pictures.
Sometimes I buy - but I'm running out of walls.
