Richard Thompson (5'1"), I'll call him DICK, although I 've never figured out how you get dick from richard or bob from robert, was sentenced to 10 years probation because Judge Kristine Cecava (?' ?") felt that he was too short to safely serve a prison term! The Judge felt that this DICK would face dangers in prison because of his height?????
DICK was convicted for sexually assaulting a 12 year old girl.
Oh but don't worry,
DICK will be electronically monitored for the entire first 4 months of his probation! (oooh that's harsh) and
DICK can't date or live with a woman with children under 18 (lucky gal)
and
DICK can't be alone with anyone under the age of 18 (oh whew!).
Joe Mangano (5'4") of NOSSA,
the National Organization of Short Statured Adults (just rolls off the tip of the tongue don't it) said that
"it's good to see somebody looking out for someone who is a short person."
The decision, that baffled even the ACLU, is being appealed.
I don't know where to start...the betrayal of theVICTIM...and the next child on his list...the sheer lunacy of the sentence..the 99% recidivism of child molesters.....the pretzel logic concerning heightism....Political Correctness ......the abscence of common sense...the inequality of the sexes.....just exactly how LOW can society go???????
Prison is the only place where Predators, like DICK,

It says something about the U.S. of A. and about North America overall when the same country that starts a war with Iraq and does so many other despicable things allows its own warped citizens to basically walk for sexually assaulting 12-year-olds...all on the premise that it has to apparently protect them because they're too small to actually survive on their own in an adult world.

okay, i read about this in the paper today, and i don't know all of the facts, or any of them really, i only know what some other person wrote about this, but i still have some questions.

i mean honestly, we are going to say that one short person is more important than another because they are older? i'll bet the 12 year old is thinking, 'i hope i grow up to be no taller than this dude so i can rip his fucking head off for free and then go back home and play some more xbox.'
or maybe, 'it's important turn the other cheek, to love our enemies as our neighbour.'
or maybe, 'when i grow up to be president, i can nuke africa and blame it on this dude.'
really, what kind of world do we live in when people who steal bread are put in for-profit prisons to make work shirts for 25 cents an hour and a child molester gets at home monitoring?
are gangs going to start using short people to do their dirty work because they know they will get off?
